SEO Copywriting
It is well known that content is king as far as Google goes and after several years in the copywriting business I can add my two cents worth to that. I have worked on so many copywriting contracts where websites were very poorly received by Google but after a few weeks of quality content population the sites suddenly grew in stature.
Here is a little insight into why SEO copywriting differs to offline copywriting.
If one were to track just server stats alone it would become obvious very quickly that the introduction of high quality keyword rich content will rapidly broaden the search spectrum. Where websites once had just a few search terms showing in the visitor logs there would be a rapid change to hundreds. Bearing in mind that each new search word is indicative of a visitor and some search words start to appear repeatedly then it is not going to be long before hundreds are now thousands.
It is the accumulation of these search words that drive a successful delivery of visitors, of course converting these visitors is another subject entirely but certainly its half the battle.
The copy will be based on comprehensive keyword research which is then married to appropriate parts of the website, this theme process runs through other page attributes and this ensures that when Google enters each individual page in a website that it can get the right message.
The content is a key part of the SEO process and must be crafted with SEO principles in mind, careful keyword research is a vital part of the copywriting process since the pages need to be themed in line with what potential visitors are searching for.
