Time to push the Copywriting Online

Copywriting Online

Well after several months of offline work I have decided to take a greater selection of online copywriting projects, for a while I left this area alone because there was a lot of really low quality proposals coming in. I think that many people have got used to using sub standard overseas copywritering services from Asia through third party forums etc and this has reflected on the industry and client expectations as far as fees go.

What I am finding now is that copywriting for the web is again starting to require a better presentation, it is easy to write copy and spin it multiple times before releasing it to a variety of online resources but try and use this for actual website copy and you will have problems.

Online copywriting and content writing is not only scrutinised by people who may read it but also by Google and other search engines, thus if you allow spun content to be used it could actually get your website compromised in search engines.

If you have paid a writer for content then check it is unique by using online tools or even a simple copy check in Google itself, there is nothing worse than paying an overseas writer and then finding out your content is not unique. Very often a quick fall in search positions will be the result and this is obviously not healthy.

So as the copywriting industry takes another twist in the saga of quality content verses cheap content you can be sure that there will be many casualties in the coming months as websites lose their online visibility as a result of using a cheap copywriter or an overseas copywriting service.
